Poly mud flaps are lighter (4-6 lbs), more resistant to chemicals and UV damage, and maintain their appearance longer. They work well for drivers who prioritize weight savings and appearance. Both materials meet DOT requirements and typically last 2-3 years with regular use.

Do I need special tools or brackets to install these mud flaps?

Installation typically requires basic hand tools: a drill with 1/2" and 3/8" bits, socket wrench set, and measuring tape. Most of our mud flap kits include universal mounting brackets and stainless steel hardware. If your truck already has factory mud flap brackets, you can often reuse them. Installation usually takes 30-45 minutes per side. Some drivers prefer adding anti-sail brackets for highway driving, which are sold separately.

What size mud flaps do I need for my International 9200/9400?
