International 4700-4900 Interior Dash Trim

Frequently Asked Questions About International 4700-4900 Interior Dash Trim

Will this dash trim fit my specific International 4700 or 4900 model year?

Interior dash trim pieces are typically designed to match the cab configuration used across a range of production years for the 4700 and 4900 series, but dash layouts can vary depending on the model year and options your truck was originally built with. Before ordering, check the listed year range and part description carefully, and compare it to the panel or trim piece currently in your cab to confirm a match.

What material is the dash trim made from, and how durable is it?

Most interior dash trim panels for these trucks are made from ABS plastic or similar molded composite materials designed to hold up to daily cab use, temperature changes, and UV exposure from sunlight through the windshield. These materials are chosen for a balance of durability and a factory-style finish, though normal wear over time is expected with any interior trim.

Does the trim come pre-finished, or will I need to paint or wrap it myself?

Many dash trim pieces are available in a finished color or textured finish that matches the original equipment look, while some are sold unfinished or in a base color for customers who want to paint, wrap, or add woodgrain or carbon fiber accents themselves. Check the product listing to confirm whether the piece you are ordering is finished or requires additional work on your end.

Is installation something I can do myself, or does it require a professional?

Most dash trim panels are designed to be a direct replacement for the factory piece, using the existing mounting points, clips, or screws. Basic hand tools are usually enough for installation, and many customers complete the swap themselves. If your dash trim needs to be removed around gauges, switches, or wiring, take care to disconnect any electrical connections properly before removing the old panel.

Will the replacement trim match the color and texture of the rest of my dash?

Reputable replacement trim is manufactured to closely match the original factory color and texture, but slight variations can occur due to age, fading, or differences between manufacturers. If an exact match is critical, consider ordering trim for the full dash area at once, or be prepared to paint or wrap the piece to blend it in with the rest of your cab.
