International 4700-4900 Dash Nuts & Screws

Frequently Asked Questions About International 4700-4900 Dash Nuts & Screws

What are dash nuts and screws used for on my International 4700-4900?

These small hardware fasteners are used to secure interior dash panels, trim pieces, gauge clusters, and other components to the dash structure of your International 4700-4900. Over time, original hardware can strip, corrode, or go missing, making replacement necessary to keep your dash panels properly secured and rattle-free.

Will these nuts and screws fit my specific dash panel or trim piece?

Fasteners are designed to match the sizing and thread pattern used on International 4700-4900 dash components, but panel designs can vary slightly by model year and configuration. We recommend checking the listed specifications, such as thread size and length, against your existing hardware before ordering to confirm a proper fit.

What material are these fasteners made from?

Most dash nuts and screws in this category are made from steel or similar durable metals designed to hold up to everyday cab vibration and use. Some may include a plated or coated finish to help resist corrosion in the cab environment.

Can I install these myself, or do I need a mechanic?

These are simple fasteners that most owners and drivers can install with basic hand tools like a screwdriver or small wrench. No special equipment or technical expertise is required, though care should be taken not to overtighten and crack aging dash plastic.

Do I need to buy a full kit, or can I order individual nuts and screws?

This depends on how many fasteners you need to replace. If only one or two screws are stripped or missing, you may be able to order just the specific piece you need. If your dash hardware is generally worn or you are replacing an entire panel, purchasing a multi-piece set can save time and ensure consistent hardware throughout.
