Ford Aeromax Light Bar-Filler Panel

Frequently Asked Questions About Ford Aeromax Light Bar-Filler Panel

What is a light bar-filler panel and what does it do on my Ford Aeromax?

A light bar-filler panel is the section of the truck's front frame or grille area that houses the marker, identification, or fog lights while also closing the gap between the bumper, grille, and hood. It restores a finished, factory-style appearance to the front end while providing mounting points for lighting components.

Will this filler panel fit my specific Ford Aeromax model year?

Fit can vary depending on the model year and trim of your Aeromax, as well as whether your truck has been modified from its original front-end configuration. Before ordering, check the listed year range and measurements against your truck, and compare bolt hole patterns and panel dimensions to your existing panel if possible. If you are unsure, reach out to our team with your VIN or truck details and we can help confirm fit.

What material and finish options are available for these panels?

These panels are typically available in steel or aluminum, and may come raw, primed, painted, or with a chrome or polished finish depending on the specific product listing. Steel offers durability for heavy-duty use, while aluminum and stainless options provide better corrosion resistance and a lighter overall weight. Review each product's description to confirm the exact material and finish before purchasing.

Does the panel come with mounting hardware and pre-drilled light holes?

Some panels ship with pre-cut or pre-drilled holes sized for common light configurations, while others are sold as a blank panel that requires drilling to match your chosen lights. Mounting hardware inclusion also varies by listing, so check the product details or contact us if you need clarification before you order.

Can I install this filler panel myself, or do I need a professional?

Many owners and shops install these panels themselves since the job generally involves removing the old panel, transferring or wiring lights, and bolting the new panel into place. However, if wiring modifications or fabrication are needed to get a clean fit, having a qualified technician handle the installation can help ensure everything lines up correctly and the lighting functions properly.
