Western Star 5900 SBA Truck Hood Emblems & Bezels

Frequently Asked Questions About Western Star 5900 SBA Truck Hood Emblems & Bezels

What exactly are hood emblems and bezels?

Hood emblems are the decorative badges that display the Western Star logo or name on the hood, while bezels are the surrounding trim pieces or frames that hold the emblem in place and give it a finished, polished look. Together they help maintain the factory appearance of your truck or allow you to upgrade to a more custom or premium look.

Will these emblems and bezels fit my Western Star 5900 SBA exactly?

Products in this category are designed specifically for the Western Star 5900 SBA hood configuration. However, because trucks can vary slightly by production year and prior modifications, we recommend comparing the dimensions and mounting style listed in the product description to your existing emblem or bezel before ordering to ensure a proper fit.

What materials and finishes are available?

You will typically find emblems and bezels made from chrome-plated plastic, stainless steel, or die-cast metal. Finish options usually include polished chrome and brushed stainless, giving you the flexibility to match existing trim on your truck or upgrade the overall look of the hood.

How are these emblems and bezels installed?

Most emblems and bezels are installed using existing mounting holes, adhesive backing, or simple push-in clips depending on the specific product. Installation generally does not require special tools, though some pieces may need automotive-grade adhesive or basic hand tools for a secure fit. Always follow the instructions included with your specific part.

How do I keep the chrome or stainless finish looking new?

Regular washing with a mild soap and water solution, followed by drying with a soft cloth, will help prevent water spots and buildup. For chrome pieces, a dedicated chrome polish can help maintain shine and resist corrosion, especially in areas with road salt or harsh weather exposure. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can scratch or dull the finish over time.
