Kenworth T680 DPF & Mufflers

Frequently Asked Questions About Kenworth T680 DPF & Mufflers

Will this DPF or muffler fit my Kenworth T680?

Fitment depends on your truck's model year, engine type (PACCAR MX-13, Cummins, or other), and emissions configuration. Because the T680 has gone through multiple production changes, we recommend confirming your engine serial number and chassis specs before ordering, or contacting our parts team to verify compatibility with your specific setup.

Is this DPF a direct OEM replacement or an aftermarket unit?

Our catalog includes both OEM and quality aftermarket DPF units and mufflers. Product listings specify whether an item is OEM, remanufactured, or aftermarket, so you can choose based on your budget, warranty preference, and performance expectations.

Do these DPF units come cleaned, tested, or remanufactured?

Many of our used and remanufactured DPF units are cleaned and tested for flow performance before sale. Product descriptions note the condition and any testing or cleaning process completed, so you know exactly what you're getting before you buy.

Will installing this DPF or muffler affect emissions compliance?

DPF systems are part of your truck's emissions control system, so using a properly functioning, compatible unit is important for staying compliant with EPA regulations. We recommend verifying that any replacement part matches your original emissions certification and consulting a qualified technician if you're unsure about compliance requirements in your operating area.

What's involved in installing a replacement DPF or muffler?

Installation typically involves disconnecting sensors, mounting hardware, and exhaust piping, and it's a job most experienced diesel technicians or fleet maintenance shops can handle. If you're not familiar with DPF or exhaust system removal and reinstallation, we suggest having a professional handle the swap to avoid sensor or seal issues.
