International RH Frame Light Bars & Filler Panels

Frequently Asked Questions About International RH Frame Light Bars & Filler Panels

What is the purpose of a frame light bar and filler panel on an International truck?

These components mount along the right-hand side of the frame rail, typically between the cab and the fuel tank or behind the front wheel well. The light bar houses marker, clearance, or auxiliary lighting, while the filler panel closes the gap between the frame and other body components, giving the truck a finished, factory-style appearance while also helping to keep debris and road spray away from wiring and fittings.

Will this light bar or filler panel fit my specific International model and year?

Fitment can vary by International model, year, and frame configuration, so it is important to check the listed specifications and cross-reference your truck's chassis details before ordering. If you are unsure, our customer service team can help confirm fitment based on your VIN or model information to avoid ordering the wrong part.

What material and finish options are available?

Most RH frame light bars and filler panels are constructed from durable steel or aluminum and are available in either a raw, unfinished state or with a chrome or painted finish, depending on the specific product. Chrome and polished finishes offer a brighter, show-truck look, while painted or raw panels are often chosen for working trucks where appearance is a lower priority than durability.

Does the light bar come pre-wired or with lights included?

This depends on the specific product listing. Some light bars come with lights, sockets, and wiring pre-installed, while others are sold as a bare bar that requires you to add your own lighting and wiring harness. Always check the product description carefully to confirm what is included before purchasing additional lighting or electrical components.

How difficult is it to install a frame light bar or filler panel, and do I need special tools?

Installation typically involves basic hand tools such as wrenches and a drill, since these panels usually bolt or mount directly to existing holes or brackets on the frame. If the light bar includes wiring, you will also need basic electrical tools to connect it into your truck's existing lighting circuit. Most installations can be handled in a home shop or garage, though trucks with non-standard modifications may require additional fitting work.
