International ProStar Driving Lights

Frequently Asked Questions About International ProStar Driving Lights

Will these driving lights fit my International ProStar without modification?

Most driving lights in this category are designed to fit the factory bumper or light mounting locations on the International ProStar, but fitment can vary depending on the model year and whether your truck has the factory bumper or an aftermarket replacement. Be sure to check the product listing for specific year ranges and mounting details before ordering, and reach out to our team if you are unsure about compatibility with your specific setup.

Are these lights DOT and FMVSS compliant for on-road use?

Many of the driving lights we carry are designed to meet DOT and SAE requirements for on-road use, but compliance can vary by manufacturer and light type. Always check the individual product description for certification details, and confirm that any lights you install meet the regulations in your operating area before hitting the road.

What is the difference between halogen and LED driving lights for the ProStar?

LED driving lights generally offer brighter output, longer service life, and lower power draw compared to halogen lights, while halogen lights tend to have a lower upfront cost. Your choice often comes down to budget, desired brightness, and how long you want the lights to last before needing replacement.

How difficult is it to install replacement driving lights on a ProStar?

Installation difficulty depends on whether you are doing a direct swap into existing mounting points or installing a new light bar or bracket kit. Direct-fit replacements typically involve unplugging the factory harness, removing a few mounting bolts, and reversing the process with the new light. Kits requiring new brackets or wiring may take more time and basic electrical knowledge, so review the installation instructions included with your specific product beforehand.

What housing materials and finishes are available for these lights?

Driving lights in this category are typically available with housings made from durable plastic or metal, finished in chrome or black to match different truck styles. The lens itself is usually a clear or lightly tinted polycarbonate designed to hold up to road debris and everyday wear. Check each product listing for the specific housing material and finish options offered.
