International 9300/9370 Elbows, Piping & Comp.

Frequently Asked Questions About International 9300/9370 Elbows, Piping & Comp.

What exhaust system parts are included in this category?

This category covers exhaust elbows, straight and curved piping sections, and related exhaust components designed for International 9300 and 9370 trucks. These parts are used to build, repair, or upgrade the exhaust stack system, including sections that connect the muffler to the vertical exhaust stack.

Will these elbows and pipes fit my specific International 9300 or 9370 model year?

Most parts listed in this category are designed to fit the common exhaust configurations used across 9300 and 9370 model years, but exhaust setups can vary based on engine, chassis configuration, and prior modifications. Check the listed diameter, angle, and length specifications against your current exhaust system before ordering, and reach out to our team if you are unsure about fitment.

What materials and finishes are available for these components?

Exhaust elbows and piping in this category are typically available in aluminized steel or stainless steel, with some pieces offered in a chrome finish for a polished look. Stainless and chrome options generally hold up better against rust and heat discoloration compared to standard aluminized steel, though all options are built to handle exhaust system temperatures.

Can I install these parts myself, or do I need a professional?

Many truckers replace exhaust elbows and piping sections themselves using basic tools, especially when working with slip-fit or clamp-style connections. However, if your setup requires welding, cutting, or reworking brackets and mounts, having a shop handle the installation may save time and ensure a secure, leak-free fit.

How do I know when it's time to replace an exhaust elbow or pipe section?

Common signs include visible rust-through, cracking at weld seams, excessive soot or exhaust leaks at joints, and unusual noise coming from the stack area. If a section has thinned out or developed holes, replacing it before it fails completely helps avoid exhaust leaks and keeps the rest of your stack system properly supported.
