Freightliner FLD SBA Gauges & Switches

Frequently Asked Questions About Freightliner FLD SBA Gauges & Switches

Will these gauges and switches fit my Freightliner FLD SBA model?

Products in this category are designed to fit Freightliner FLD SBA trucks, but gauge clusters and switch panels can vary by model year and dash configuration. Always check the listed year range and part number against your truck's original component before ordering to ensure a proper fit.

Are these replacement parts OEM or aftermarket?

This category includes both OEM and aftermarket options. OEM parts are built to match the original factory specifications for a direct fit, while aftermarket options can offer a cost-effective alternative. Each product listing specifies whether the part is OEM or aftermarket so you can choose based on your budget and preference.

How do I know if my gauge or switch is actually bad before replacing it?

Common signs of a failing gauge include erratic readings, a needle stuck at zero or max, or a gauge that no longer lights up. For switches, look for issues like unresponsive buttons, intermittent function, or a switch that fails to click into position. Checking wiring connections and fuses first can help confirm whether the issue is the gauge or switch itself versus a wiring or electrical problem elsewhere in the truck.

Do I need any special tools or wiring knowledge to install these parts?

Most gauges and switches are designed for straightforward installation using basic hand tools like screwdrivers and trim panel removal tools. Some gauge replacements may require basic wiring knowledge to disconnect and reconnect harness connectors correctly. If you are not comfortable working with electrical connections, we recommend having a qualified technician handle the installation.

Will the new gauge or switch match the look of my existing dash?

Many of our gauges and switches are designed to match the original factory appearance, including similar faceplates, backlighting, and mounting style. If matching your existing dash aesthetic is important, review the product photos and description closely, or contact our team for guidance before purchasing.
