Freightliner FLC120 Dash Knobs

Frequently Asked Questions About Freightliner FLC120 Dash Knobs

What are dash knobs used for on the Freightliner FLC120?

Dash knobs are the control knobs used to operate functions on the dashboard, such as heater and A/C controls, headlight switches, wiper controls, dimmer switches, and other dash-mounted controls. They are the small handles you grip and turn or pull to adjust these systems inside the cab.

Will these dash knobs fit my specific FLC120 model year?

Dash knob designs can vary across production years and control panel configurations, so it is important to compare the shaft size, shape, and mounting style of your existing knob to the product listing before ordering. If you are unsure, checking the part number on your current knob or measuring the stem can help confirm a proper fit.

Are these knobs original Freightliner parts or aftermarket replacements?

Our inventory includes both original equipment and aftermarket dash knobs, and each product listing will indicate which type you are purchasing. Aftermarket knobs are built to match the fit and function of the original part, while OEM knobs come directly from Freightliner specifications.

What materials are these dash knobs made from, and will the finish hold up over time?

Dash knobs are typically made from durable plastic or chrome-plated plastic designed to withstand regular handling in the cab. Finish quality can vary between manufacturers, so check the product description and images for details on material and finish before purchasing.

How do I install a replacement dash knob?

Most dash knobs simply push, snap, or thread onto the existing control stem or shaft, and installation usually does not require any tools. If your knob is held on with a small screw or clip, you will want to remove that fastener first, then slide the old knob off and press or thread the new one into place.
