Peterbilt 567/579 Windshield, Wiper & Roof Acc.

Frequently Asked Questions About Peterbilt 567/579 Windshield, Wiper & Roof Acc.

What types of products are included in this category?

This category covers windshield, wiper, and roof-related components for the Peterbilt 567 and 579 models, including items such as windshield trim and moldings, wiper arms, wiper blades and motors, sun visors, roof fairings, and related mounting hardware. These parts are designed to address both the functional and cosmetic needs of the cab's upper front section.

Will these parts fit my specific Peterbilt 567 or 579 model year?

Most items listed in this category are designed to fit the Peterbilt 567 and 579 platforms, but fitment can vary depending on the model year, cab configuration, and whether your truck has factory or aftermarket modifications. We recommend checking the specific product listing for year and configuration compatibility, and comparing part numbers or measurements against your truck before ordering. If you are unsure, our team can help confirm fitment before you buy.

Are these replacement parts OEM or aftermarket?

Our selection includes both OEM and quality aftermarket options. OEM parts are built to match factory specifications exactly, while aftermarket parts can offer a more budget-friendly alternative without sacrificing durability. Each product listing specifies whether the item is OEM or aftermarket so you can choose based on your preference and budget.

How difficult is it to install a wiper motor, arm, or windshield trim piece myself?

Many wiper blades, arms, and trim pieces are designed for straightforward installation using basic hand tools, and can typically be swapped out without professional help. Wiper motors and larger roof fairing components may require more involved installation, including electrical connections or structural mounting, so some drivers prefer having a technician handle those jobs. Always refer to the manufacturer's instructions included with your part, and disconnect power before working on any electrical components like wiper motors.

What material and finish options are available for trim and roof accessories?

Windshield trim, roof fairings, and similar cosmetic accessories are commonly available in stainless steel, chrome-plated, or painted finishes to match your cab's existing look. Stainless and chrome options tend to hold up well against the elements but may require regular cleaning to prevent water spotting or road film buildup. Product descriptions will note the specific material and finish so you can select the option that best matches your truck.
