Peterbilt 357/378 Windshield, Wiper & Roof Acc.

Frequently Asked Questions About Peterbilt 357/378 Windshield, Wiper & Roof Acc.

Will these windshield, wiper, and roof accessories fit my Peterbilt 357 or 378?

Products in this category are designed to fit the Peterbilt 357 and 378 model trucks, but exact fitment can vary depending on cab configuration, model year, and whether your truck has a standard or aerodynamic roof. Always check the product listing for specific year ranges and cab styles, and compare measurements to your truck before ordering to ensure a proper fit.

What materials are these parts made from, and how well do they hold up to weather and road conditions?

Windshield trim, wiper components, and roof accessories are typically made from materials such as stainless steel, chrome-plated metal, aluminum, or durable rubber and polymer seals, depending on the specific part. Stainless steel and chrome pieces resist corrosion and are built to handle sun, rain, and road debris over time, while rubber seals and gaskets are formulated to remain flexible in a range of temperatures.

Can I install these parts myself, or do I need a professional?

Many items in this category, such as windshield trim pieces, wiper arms, wiper blades, and roof trim, are designed for straightforward installation using basic hand tools. However, parts that involve sealing around the windshield or mounting to the roof structure may require more care to avoid leaks or improper seating. If you are not comfortable working with sealants or trim removal, having a qualified technician install these parts is a good option.

Will a new windshield or roof accessory cause leaks or wind noise if installed incorrectly?

Improper installation of windshield trim, seals, or roof-mounted accessories can lead to water leaks or increased wind noise, so it is important to clean the mounting surface thoroughly and follow any included instructions closely. Using the correct adhesive or sealant, where applicable, and making sure gaskets are seated evenly will help maintain a proper seal.

Do these parts come with the hardware needed for installation?

Hardware inclusion varies by product, so check each listing to confirm whether mounting brackets, clips, bolts, or adhesive are included. If a listing does not specify included hardware, it is a good idea to inspect your existing setup or reach out to our team before ordering so you can plan for any additional materials you may need.
