International RH Exhaust Parts

Frequently Asked Questions About International RH Exhaust Parts

What years and models of International trucks are compatible with these RH exhaust parts?

Our International RH exhaust parts are specifically designed for International ProStar (2008-2017), LoneStar (2009-2017), and LT Series (2016-present) models. These parts are engineered to match OEM specifications for right-hand side exhaust configurations. Always verify your truck's OEM and exhaust layout before ordering, as some models may have variations based on engine type and factory options.

Are these exhaust parts made from aluminized or stainless steel, and what's the expected lifespan?

We offer both aluminized steel and 304/409 stainless steel options. Aluminized steel parts typically last 3-5 years under normal conditions and are more budget-friendly. Stainless steel options provide 7-10+ years of service life with superior corrosion resistance, making them ideal for trucks operating in harsh weather conditions or high-salt environments. Product descriptions clearly indicate the material type for each part.

Do I need special tools or professional installation for these exhaust components?

Most RH exhaust replacements can be installed with standard hand tools including socket sets, wrenches, and exhaust hangers. However, you'll likely need penetrating oil for rusted bolts, new gaskets, and clamps (often sold separately). While many owner-operators successfully complete installations in 2-4 hours, components like DPF or complete systems may require exhaust shop equipment for proper alignment and sealing. We recommend having anti-seize compound on hand for reassembly.

Will aftermarket exhaust parts affect my truck's warranty or emissions compliance?

Our direct-fit replacement parts maintain OEM specifications and won't void manufacturer warranties when used for repair/maintenance. All catalytic converters and DPF units are EPA-compliant and CARB-certified where required. However, any modifications that alter emissions equipment or exhaust flow beyond factory specs may impact warranty coverage. For trucks still under warranty, we recommend confirming with your dealer before installing performance-oriented upgrades.

What's included with exhaust pipes and mufflers - do I need to buy mounting hardware separately?

Basic exhaust pipes typically come as the pipe only - clamps, hangers, and gaskets are sold separately unless specifically noted as a complete kit. Mufflers usually include the unit itself but require separate purchase of inlet/outlet clamps and hanging brackets. We offer complete installation kits that bundle all necessary hardware, which many customers find convenient and cost-effective. Product pages clearly list what's included, and our team can help identify exactly what additional parts you'll need for your specific installation.
