Freightliner Cabover Interior Acc.

Frequently Asked Questions About Freightliner FLT Cabover Interior Accessories

Will these interior accessories fit my specific Freightliner FLT model year?

Most of our FLT cabover interior accessories are designed to fit 1984-1994 Freightliner FLT models. However, minor variations exist between early and late production years. For dash panels and trim pieces, 1984-1989 models may have different mounting points than 1990-1994 models. Always check the product description for specific year compatibility, or contact our support team with your OEM for verification.

What tools and experience level do I need to install these interior parts?

Installation difficulty varies by product. Simple items like floor mats, seat covers, and sun visors typically require no tools and take 5-15 minutes. Dashboard components, door panels, and headliner replacements need basic hand tools (screwdrivers, trim removal tools, socket set) and intermediate mechanical skills. Most installations take 1-4 hours. We recommend having a second person help with larger pieces like headliners.

Are these OEM or aftermarket parts, and what's the quality difference?

We carry both OEM and high-quality aftermarket options. OEM parts match factory specifications exactly but may be limited in availability for these older trucks. Our aftermarket suppliers use ABS plastics, marine-grade vinyl, and automotive-grade fabrics that often exceed original durability. All products meet DOT standards where applicable. Product descriptions clearly indicate whether items are OEM or aftermarket.

What interior color options are available, and will they match my existing cab?

Standard color options include gray, tan, and black for most interior accessories. Some items like floor mats and seat covers offer additional colors including blue and burgundy. Due to sun fading and age, exact color matching to 30+ year old interiors can be challenging. We recommend ordering color samples when available, or replacing multiple visible components together for uniform appearance.

Do these parts come with mounting hardware and instructions?

Most interior accessories include necessary mounting hardware, though some installations may require reusing existing clips or fasteners from your original parts. Detailed installation instructions are provided for complex items like dash assemblies and door panels. Simple accessories typically include basic diagrams. If original hardware is damaged or missing, we stock replacement clips, screws, and fasteners separately.
