International ProStar Switch Trim & ID Labels

Frequently Asked Questions About International ProStar Switch Trim & ID Labels

What exactly are switch trim and ID labels used for?

Switch trim panels are the plastic surrounds or bezels that frame the toggle and rocker switches on your International ProStar dashboard, while ID labels are the small printed or embossed tags that identify what each switch controls, such as headlights, wipers, or marker lights. Together they keep your dash organized, properly labeled, and finished with a factory-style appearance.

Will these trim pieces and labels fit my specific ProStar model year?

International made changes to dash layouts and switch configurations across different ProStar production years, so fitment can vary. Always check the listed model year range and part number on each product page, and compare it against your truck's existing trim or switch panel before ordering to confirm a correct match.

Are the switch trim panels made from durable material that will hold up over time?

Most replacement trim panels are molded from ABS or similar automotive-grade plastic designed to withstand daily cab conditions, including temperature swings and constant handling. They are built to match the look and feel of the original equipment, though as with any plastic dash component, color can fade slightly over years of sun exposure.

How do I install or replace a switch trim panel or ID label myself?

Most switch trim panels snap or clip into place around the existing switch opening and do not require tools for removal or installation, though some may be secured with small screws or retaining tabs. ID labels are typically adhesive-backed and press directly onto the trim or switch face. If your panel involves disconnecting any wiring, disconnect the battery first and take note of switch positions before removal.

Can I get labels for custom or non-standard switches?

Standard ID labels cover the common factory switch functions found on most ProStar dashboards, such as lighting, wipers, and fan controls. If you have added aftermarket switches or need a function not covered by standard labeling, check the available label sets carefully or contact our team to confirm whether a matching label exists before you order.
